Piscia di Gallu waterfall: one of the seven wonders of Alta Rocca
In the Ospedale forest, discover the Piscia di Gallu waterfall (in French, cascade du pin) on a medium-level hike lasting around two hours. It's one of the seven wonders of the Alta Rocca. A truly beautiful 70-metre waterfall. Length 4.8 km, 2 h, red markings. The end of the trail is for the more adventurous. Good footwear is essential. Parking (fee payable) approx. 800 m north of the Ospédale dam.

Bavella, fabulous!
Join a grandiose site famous for its needles. "I Forchi di Bavedda" are made up of peaks laminated by time and rocky ramparts. Their shapes and colors are astonishing. You can admire the Massif de Bavella from the shade of the wind-twisted pines, and spot a few climbers on its facades, before visiting Notre Dame des Neiges, the patron saint of Bavella, honored every August 05 by hundreds of pilgrims. Bavella is also home to a number of high conservation value species, including the Peregrine Falcon, Golden Eagle, Bearded Vulture, Corsican Goshawk and Corsican Nuthatch. Mouflon de Corse and, not far from the site, Cerf de Corse. A day at Bavella will delight young and old alike!

Casteddu de Cucuruzzu
Passing through a Mediterranean forest in the heart of a preserved environment, you'll discover the casteddu, one of the twenty or so casteddi discovered mainly in southern Corsica. It was built in the Bronze Age, on a granite chaos dominating the northern slopes of the Levie plateau. Below the casteddu to the northeast, several natural terraces and shelters were occupied, forming a village surrounded by a protective wall (not accessible). The Cucuruzzu archaeological site is protected as a historic monument.
