U meu Paradisu

Marine from Davia to Corbara

We asked 5 members of our team to tell us about their little corner of paradise in Corsica, their favorite secret spot away from the crowds. You're in luck! Perhaps we'll have the pleasure of meeting you there. But keep them to yourself! And above all, take care of them. These wonders must be left untouched by pollution.

In summer, tobacconists often offer beach ashtrays, and you can take a little bag with you on each walk to dispose of any garbage you find... and why not, a few left behind by walkers less attached to their planet?

Why does this place touch you? The light in these troglodyte caves clad in dry stone is almost mystical, as they used to be a refuge for shepherds. You can see the horizon from Sardinia to the Bruzzi to Omu di Cagna.

What do you remember? The 1st time my father took me there, when I was 13.

How to find it? Park at the end of the Serragia cemetery road, follow the track eastwards for 2 km, then take the path signposted Monaccia d'Aullène up to the low stone wall, and follow the cairns and paths to the summit.

Why does this place appeal to you? It's an area of 3 beaches, Vignola, Capité and Fornela, little known but easily accessible, a paradise refreshed by the sea air. Bordered by rocks, surrounded by greenery and sheltered from the wind. Convenient for the first dips in May, and in summer the tamarisk trees provide protection from the sun!

Something to remember? Afternoons spent underwater, looking for St. Lucia's eyes.

How to find them? Take the "trinichellu", which stops at every beach on the Île Rousse/Calvi route. By car, it's less fun.

Why does this place appeal to you? For its unspoilt, completely wild setting in the heart of the maquis. It's a place of peace and quiet.

What do you remember? The time I went there by boat from the coast. Simply exceptional!

Between Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio, take the path at the quarry. It takes around 30 minutes on a steep, sunny track.

Why does this place touch you? On the road is the little Santa Maria Chapel and the Genoese Tower of the same name. They are symbols of Corsica's rich history.

A souvenir? During a summer walk along the customs path, I came across 2 cows lounging on the fine sand, with the Tour Génoise Santa Maria in the background.

How to find it? First reach Tamarone beach, then follow the customs path along the wild coastline, where the green of the maquis rivals the turquoise of the sea.

Saint Antoine Beach BONIFACIO (South)

Why does this place touch you? This very fine sandy beach at the tip of Corsica has a lunar feel, with strange limestone shapes, including one in the shape of a boat and open caves, and the Pertusato lighthouse just above...

Something to remember? A fantastic family picnic and snorkelling in the magnificent depths...

How to find us? Park your car at the foot of the semaphore, then take a twenty-minute power walk.
