Porto-Vecchio is a favorite destination for holidaymakers during the summer season. The town offers a night of festivities to suit all tastes, from lounge-style to frenetic.
Bars and nightclubs in Porto-Vecchio
A successful evening starts with a good restaurant. Porto-Vecchio is a pleasant town to live in during the summer season. It has a wide choice of restaurants, but they are often crowded in town, so don't hesitate to choose a table near a beach with a sea view, where the sea air will make your meal lighter. You'll find plenty of straw huts around Palombaggia and Pinarello.
In Porto-Vecchio, there are numerous bars in the upper town and on the harbor. Park in the parking lot at the entrance to town and stroll through the narrow streets to reach the church square, surrounded by numerous bars and an ice-cream parlour. It's around 10pm that the sound of music rises and bodies begin to sway. The famous Via Note nightclub (Europe's largest open-air nightclub), where Bob Sinclar and David Guetta regularly performed, no longer exists, but Porto-Vecchio is still a party town with a wide range of events.
Our tip: head for the patio, an outdoor bar set in a picturesque stone courtyard, renowned for its cocktails, DJ nights and tapas (reservations recommended).

Looking for a night out? Start from the rue de la porte génoise, where you'll have a sparkling view of the port, especially on the evenings of 14/07 and 15/08, with a musical fireworks display. You'll be close to the "le clint" discotheque and its dance floor for a younger crowd, and a few meters further up, the Taverne du Roi and its festive Corsican guitar nights await you. This mythical venue opens at 10.30pm with a repertoire of Corsican songs, then diversifies and the atmosphere is in full swing: singing and dancing.
In the meantime, cross the lively square to the forecourt of the Cinémathèque, where free evening events are organized throughout the summer for unforgettable moments. (Theater, jazz, salsa etc....)
Walk down to the marina, where you'll find a host of bars and restaurants, and numerous evening events. Here they mix, there they sing Corsican songs: check out the program on the Facebook pages of the glacier du port, the Tropicana or the Marine! In July and August, stroll along "L'Aria Marina", where crafts, music and commercial events promise a festive and convivial atmosphere.
