Cultural rendezvous in the far south at Calvi
If you're looking for a festive atmosphere, come to Ajaccio in April to welcome spring! After three months of winter, it's time to get together, meet new people and exchange ideas. Plays, concerts, world music and shows are all ready to go, and green theaters are getting ready. Corsica awakes from its winter slumber on the first weekend in April.
At the beginning of June, from Ajaccio to Propriano, via Bastia and Calvi, we celebrate Saint Erasmus, the patron saint of fishermen. On the program: mass, sea outing, wreath-laying and blessing of the sea, then return to port.
In June, Saint John's Day bonfires are lit around the 20th in front of the citadel ramparts to celebrate the longest day of the year. It's also the start of the first festivals, with the Calvi Jazz Festival and polyphonic concerts.
