Corsica or Sardinia, what do we think?

Sardinia has its own magnificent assets and unique charms. Which island is best really depends on individual preferences and what you're looking for in a vacation destination. Some may be drawn to the tranquility and natural beauty of Sardinia, while others may be seduced by the uniqueness of Corsica.

For sandy beaches: Sardinia is renowned for its endless sandy beaches, such as those at Costa Rei, Chia or Villasimius. Porto-Vecchio is one of Corsica's top destinations for beach lovers. Palombaggia and Santa Giulia are two of the most famous beaches, with fine sand and turquoise waters.

Alghero (Sardinia): Alghero is a charming coastal town with a strong Catalan influence. It's a destination that combines culture, history and seaside relaxation. Santa Teresa di Gallura (Sardinia): this small town offers direct access to superb beaches, including the famous Rena Bianca. Maddalena Islands (Sardinia): An archipelago made up of several islands, offering breathtaking scenery, idyllic beaches and crystal-clear waters. A true paradise for nature lovers and divers. Castelsardo (Sardinia): A town perched on a rocky promontory with a historic castle at its center. The sea views are spectacular, and the medieval streets offer a unique atmosphere.

Is it hotter in Corsica or Sardinia?

Corsica and Sardinia are two islands located in the Mediterranean, close to each other, so they have fairly similar climates. In general, Sardinia, particularly its inland regions, can experience slightly higher temperatures in the summer months than Corsica. This is due to its more southerly position and the island's geography. The coastal regions of both islands benefit from sea breezes, which can moderate temperatures during the hottest months. Winters, on the other hand, are fairly mild on both islands.

Is Sardinia cheaper than Corsica?

"As far as meals are concerned, it is generally observed that prices can vary between Sardinia and Corsica, although the differences are not always significant. However, some travelers find that eating in Sardinia can be slightly cheaper than in Corsica. When it comes to activities, Sardinia offers a range of experiences that can cost less than those on offer in Corsica, not least because of the cost of living and tourist demand. However, this always depends on the type of activity and the season. In summary, Sardinia can often be cheaper than Corsica, whether for meals or activities, but this depends on each traveler's choices and preferences."
