Day 2 : Ajaccio

Meeting with our guide and departure for Cauro, the Zipitoli forest, Bastelica, birthplace of Sampiero Corso, popular hero who fought against Genoa in the 16th century. 09:30 Circuit of around one hour round trip with the little Maquis train. Departure from a building built as a railway station at Col de Cricheto, 725 m above sea level, to the Sardaja ridge, 850 m above sea level, after passing through a 25-hectare farm with pigs. At the terminus, a view of the lake and the village of Tolla. Afterwards, a 200 m walk under a chestnut grove to the pointe de Sardaja, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Sanguinaires Islands and Monte D'Oro.

After enjoying a traditional Corsican lunch, you will join the imperial city for an enriching visit: the Genoese quarter, the Renaissance-style cathedral where Napoleon was baptized, the Place du Diamant, the fishing port dedicated to Tino Rossi, the Place du Maréchal Foch, the Rue Fesch and its shops.

Day 3 : Ota

Departure to Cargèse, founded in 1770 as a Greek colony. Continuing on to Piana, listed as one of France's most beautiful villages, for its magnificent Calanches sculpted by erosion, with their strange shapes, which inspired Guy de Maupassant. Both the Calanches and the Gulf of Porto are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The beauty of the gulf lies in its coastline of red granite cliffs, which contrast sharply with the blue of the sea: to the south, the calanques of Piana, to the north, the Girolata peninsula and the Scandola nature reserve. This ensemble is one of the few coastal elements of the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse. The protected area is home to exceptional flora and fauna.

After lunch, you'll embark on asea trip to discover the famous Calanches de Piana, an incredible tangle of glowing rocks plunging into deep blue waters. Let yourself be amazed by this exceptional natural spectacle!

Day 4 : Calvi

Start via the Spélunca gorges, Evisa, the Aitone forest, Calacuccia, and Corte. Former capital of Corsica and now a university town, Corte boasts an eagle's nest citadel overlooking the Restonica valley. City tour by tourist train.
Continuing on to Ponte Leccia, surrounded by mountains, the Ostriconi valley, nestled between mountains and sea whichis renowned for its preserved environment and biodiversity, then Calvi.

Day 5 : Calvi

Tour of Calvi, "civitas semper fidelis", which has remained historically loyal to the Genoese for many centuries. Calvi is steeped in the legend of Christopher Columbus, said to have been his birthplace. Discover the old villages of Balagne: Lumio, Cateri

Continuing on to San Antonino, built on a rocky outcrop and listed as one of France's most beautiful villages, Pigna and its craft activities, Corbara and its Dominican convent. All these villages have maintained the tradition of high-quality craftsmanship. Cutlers, potters, bookbinders, sculptors and glassmakers enliven the streets of these hilltop villages. Then there's Ile-Rousse, which was built in the 18th century on Paoli's orders to compete with Calvi, which had remained loyal to the Genoese.

Day 6 : Bastia

Leaving for St Florent, Nonza and its famous square tower, Pino and the Col de Sainte -Lucie. Lunch. Continuation to Erbalunga, a place of pilgrimage.

This walking tour, led by a tour guide, takes you through the jewels of Bastia's heritage, recognized as a Ville d'Art et d'Histoire. The route is punctuated by captivating stories, blending historical facts, unusual anecdotes, local traditions and customs, offering a deep immersion into the soul of Bastia. This journey through time concludes with a concert of Corsican polyphonic songs and a tasting of local produce.

Day 7 : Bastia

Departure to the village of Murato, the most important village in Nebbio. Its historical interest is no less: Paoli set up his headquarters here and had Corsican currency minted. Murato also boasts a pretty little church with a triangular bell tower, three Genoese bridges and alleys with a medieval feel, enough to enchant lovers of old stones.

Halt with a shepherd who will open the doors of his farm and explain how his charcuterie and chestnut flour are made. Local meal at the restaurant.

Day 8 : Porto-Vecchio

Southbound via Aleria, Ghisonaccia, Solenzara, Col de Bavella (1240 m) and its famous needles, Zonza. Lunch time. Discovery of typical villages with massive granite houses, a specially designed itinerary through an exceptional variety of vegetation, a veritable botanical sanctuary. Continuation to Porto-Vecchio via the Ospedale forest.

Day 9 : Ajaccio

Built on a cliff more than 60 m above the sea, Bonifacio boasts a fjord and an exceptional marine environment. No qualifier can adequately describe the astonishing citadel, which preciously preserves its medieval appearance.
Sea walk : guided tour of the Fazio and Paraguano coves, the old fortified town, the Roy d'Aragon staircase and the famous grain of sand.

After lunch, you can discover the city of the cliffs on a tour of the town by tourist train. Continue on to Roccapina and its lion-shaped rock, Sartène "the most Corsican of Corsican towns", the Valinco Gulf, Olmeto, the village where Prosper Mérimée's heroine Colomba lived, the Saint-Georges Pass, Cauro and Ajaccio.
