Corte lies in a valley surrounded by imposing mountains, and its strategic position in the center of the island makes it a must for anyone wishing to explore Corsica. Along the way, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Restonica and Tavignano gorges, two of the island's most beautiful valleys, famous for their crystal-clear waters. The train crosses several bridges and tunnels, offering fleeting but memorable glimpses of the Corsican countryside. Journey time may vary, but allow 1 hour.

Day 5 : Calvi

Corte-Calvi
The train leaves Corte and heads north, winding through the mountains of Corsica's interior. The route offers panoramic views of breathtaking scenery, characterized by craggy peaks, dense forests and clear rivers. As the train moves on, the landscape begins to change, revealing more open valleys and agricultural areas with vineyards and olive groves. This transition from mountainous landscapes to gentler areas foreshadows the approach to the coast. Approaching Calvi, the train skirts the coast, offering passengers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. The colors of the landscape change, the deep greens of the mountains giving way to the blue and turquoise hues of the sea, punctuated by the white of the sandy beaches. Allow 2 hours 40 minutes for the trip, with a change at Ponte Leccia station.
