The Agriate
Departure for the gateway to the Agriate Desert. This region of almost 16,000 hectares is desert in name only: it was once considered a granary. Today, it still retains its many small, low dry-stone houses, which were used for lodging, storing wheat and tools, or sheltering livestock.
We head for the coast, stopping for a picnic in our saddlebags at the paghjaghju de Guignu.
