Bonifacio by boat

Founded in 833 as a Corsican fortress town, Bonifacio captivates visitors from the top of its magnificent white cliffs. Situated at the tip of the extreme south, this magnificent medieval city, the picturesque capital of Corsica, boasts a remarkable architectural and maritime heritage.
A Genoese town until the middle of the 18th century, Bonifacio has preserved its history as well as its cultural and natural riches. A "city of cliffs" that can be discovered both on land and at sea, and that will continue to fascinate you!
There are plenty of surprises in store for you when you head out to sea!
You can't visit Bonifacio without taking a trip out to sea! Leaving the port by boat, you'll discoverone of the most beautiful spots in Corsica, an immersion in the heart of exceptional natural sites you won't want to miss!
Visit the sea caves and cliffs of Bonifacio
A visit to the sea caves will take you to the grotte de S'Dragulinu (little dragon) or dragon's grotto. A magnificent and impressive grotto where transparent turquoise water awaits you. Look up and be surprised! An opening in the shape of Corsica illuminates the cave with its soft light. The grotte marine de Saint-Antoine, also known as "U Grotun" or "Chapeau de Napoléon" because of its shape, is also well worth a visit. Adjacent to the grotto, the rock known as the "Rudder of Corsica" is also a natural curiosity worth discovering.
Bonifacio is above all its immense limestone cliffs, including the picturesque "Grain de sable". A large, isolated block of granite, the result of nature's remarkable handiwork. Offering a breathtaking panorama, you can discover the infinite horizon from one of the promontories, or treat yourself to a magnificent view of Bonifacio's cliffs from your boat, departing every 30 minutes from 9am to 6pm in summer.
For seafloor enthusiasts, come aboard an underwater vision boat and its glass well.
