Between Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio: La Rondinara and Balistra
15 km north of Bonifacio on the west coast,the bay of La Rondinara awaits you! Head towards Porto-Vecchio for 11 km, then turn right onto the D158, a winding road that descends to the Rondinara parking lot (paying in summer). This is the beach of all postcards, and it's even said to be the most beautiful in Europe! Take the time to look at it from afar - it's shaped like a seashell. There's something for everyone: families, couples, walkers who can take the Prisarella trail... Easy to access, this large beach of fine sand, encircled by rocks and turquoise water, is also the perfect place to rent a kayak, paddle or pedalo and discover the chef's speciality in the "La Plage" restaurant. In high season, we recommend a short walk to the second, lesser-known beach.
Right next to this dream beach is another: Balistra. From the main road, take a dirt track to the free parking lot. It offers two additional advantages: it's accessible to people with reduced mobility and, in summer, it's supervised . You could be the surfer or windsurfer that holidaymakers look up to! Imagine yourself, barefoot, enjoying a grilled fish from the day's catch, in the shade under the straw hut, drunk on turquoise water! In the evening, marvel at the moonrise...
Because we know our island so well, we're going to share a secret with you: a beach you won't find in the guidebooks! Located 10 km north of Bonifacio, you take the road to the Hotel U Capu Biancu, then park in the parking lot and walk for a few minutes. The Canetto beach awaits you: the clear water and many shady spots make it an ideal place to spend the day, provided you get there early in the morning!
Have fun and enjoy yourself on a Corsican beach
Day or night, head for Maora beach : 800 meters of fine sand on the Santa Manza golf course. Maora B'ch Sailing offers a multitude of water sports: kayak, paddle, pedal boat, water ski, wake and towed buoy. You can also schedule a day or half-day catamaran excursion to the Bouches de Bonifacio or the Lavezzi Islands, away from the crowds. Finally, at any time of the day, you can be surprised by the menu at the nearby paillotes!
Do you like uncrowded beaches surrounded by scrubland and small paths? If so, we recommend the 5 beaches of Cala Longa, a 5-minute walk from the roadside parking lot. Located on a protected natural site, they are ideal for snorkeling and enjoying the spectacle of the Lavezzi Islands.
How do I get to the Petit Sperone beach around Piantarella?
At 8 a.m. one morning, buy a pain des morts and Corsican clementine juice in Bonifacio, and head for Piantarella (take the D58 then the D260 towards the Sperone golf course). A ten-minute walk from a free parking lot will take you to the famous Petit Sperone beach dominated by the lawns of the fabulous 18-hole golf course. You'll be dazzled by the light and beauty of this beach, but if it's too crowded, don't hesitate to move on to thethe Grand Sperone beach a ten-minute walk to the south. And don't forget your parasol!
You don't know it yet, but one of your best memories will be of Saint Antoine beach. You'll have to earn it: park at the Sémaphore lighthouse and walk 25 minutes up a steep path to reach this unspoilt beach. The setting is sublime: exceptional seabed, view of thehe open-air grotto known as l'Orcaand THE must-see photo of the ship-shaped rock!
For a feeling of being at the end of the world in a corner of paradise, choose Cala di Chiesa, accessible by boat to the Lavezzi Islands. Then, after a 15-minute walk through a breathtakingly beautiful setting, you can swim in a giant aquarium, with brown groupers, scorpion fish and gorgonian corals.. When you leave, all you'll want to do is come back!
How to get to Fazzio beach, near Paragan beach?
We'll show you the little secret beach of Fazzioaccessible by foot from U Veni qui, a small bar at the entrance to the town (1-hour walk) or from Paragan beach (30-minute walk). Put on your sneakers, walk and admire the wild landscape, smell the scent of the maquis and dive into a turquoise lagoon. It's also a great opportunity to discover the Strada Vecia trail, an ancient cobbled path dating back to the Genoese era and bordered by pretty low walls which will take you to some remarkable viewpoints over the town.
La Tonnara : The beach and its Criques
Easily accessible, 10 km west of Bonifacio, near the parking lot, La Tonnara beach is yours to explore. If you prefer to be left alone, walk along the beach to the many wild coves surrounded by large rocks, a natural screen for your privacy. and join the naturist beachU stagnolu. Swim 100 meters to the Tonnara islands, sunbathe in the shade of an umbrella, enjoy fish soup or prawns, kite or jet ski, experience the sunset - what will it be?
