Corsica is a sunny vacation paradise! Its fine sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and Mediterranean climate make it the perfect destination for a June break. If you're looking for a little exoticism and a change of scenery to get away from it all, you've come to the right place for an unforgettable stay!

Why is Corsica the ideal destination for a trip in June?

Just 1h30 away by plane, Corsica, the mountain in the sea, is waiting to welcome you. You'll love June more than any other month if you appreciate warmth that's not stifling, privacy rather than crowds, and beautiful seaside breaks at a lower price.

Corsican weather in June: the best holidays

Temperatures are ideal and relaxing: despite the heat of the day (25° on average) evenings can be cool, just right for a good night's sleep without the noise of air conditioning. The days are long, allowing you to explore the Isle of Beauty from sunrise at 4am to sunset at around 8pm. As for the sea temperature, it's around 23°. Leave your mind on your towel and jump into the water - after a brief moment of surprise, it'll seem delicious!

Where to go on vacation in Corsica?

We answer: everywhere! In June, families with schoolchildren aren't here yet; it's the month for couples with babies, friends and senior citizens. Everything's open: bars, restaurants, boutiques, artisans, producers, museums, but without the crowds of the high season in July and August! If you just can't get enough of a lively city, head for the seaside resort of Ajaccio or Bastia, right in the heart of the city and on the old port. If you love silence and authenticity, choose Castagniccia or Alta Rocca. Our advisors are true sources of inspiration: we'll work with you to create the trip that's right for you.

June at low prices: good deals for cheap vacations in Corsica

If you have a choice of vacation dates, go in June! Why pay twice as much for a 4-star hotel, mobile home, vacation rental, waterfront villa or hotel club in August? What's more, our partners regularly share their best offers with us, such as 7=6, which means: book 7 nights and pay for 6. And if you book early, generally before the end of February or the end of March, you'll benefit from the best prices thanks to the Early Booking offer, which can give you up to 25% off.

What to do in Corsica in June?

Activities for everyone

If you're a keen sportsman and love a challenge, why not take part in the Corsica Raid Aventure in June? An exceptional non-stop day and night race of 350 kilometers, in 6 stages and 10 disciplines in extreme and unforgettable Corsica.

If you like to be in total connection with nature in a sublime setting, don't hesitate to hike tothe mountain lakes without the inconvenience of extreme heat. Our preference is for the Restonica, starting from Corte, where the lakes of Melo and Capitello welcome you in a very soothing atmosphere. The area is well known to hikers, and the over-frequentation of the trail in July and August makes it much less fascinating, whereas in June you can climb quietly and enjoy the beauty of the lakes to your heart's content.

If you're into canyoning, it's the same thing: there are far too many people in summer, and spots like Purcaraccia near the Aiguilles de Bavella are overcrowded, so make the most of this corner of paradise now!

A quick word on beaches: head to Porto-Vecchio and its sublime beaches, which welcome you for a dip in the sea and a dream bath! June is the best time to visit the famous beaches of Santa Giulia and Palombaggia beaches, which are practically inaccessible in summer! In the north of Corsica, you can reach the Lotu and Saleccia beaches by boat or 4x4, crossing dazzling landscapes with a wild soul.

On the Isle of Beauty, you'll find every water activity imaginable: paddle, canoe, kayak, windsurf, flyboard, snorkeling, diving, sailing, water skiing, jet skiing, parasailing from a boat, etc.... There's no shortage of land-based activities either: mountain biking, mountain bike (ask us about our tours), buggy, quad biking, hiking, horseback riding, etc. And for a little more adrenaline, the sky is the limit: parachute jumping, helicopter, gyrocopter or paragliding.

Don't hesitate to get lost, to ask for directions, to stop off in the villages, all of which lead to a meeting, a smile or a photo.

Fair season

Cavall'in festa: an equestrian fair held in Corte over 2 days. Thousands of visitors come to enjoy equestrian parades, dressage demonstrations, races and horse and pony christenings.

The Canonica fair in Luciana, on the archeological site of Mariana, celebrates Corsica's identity with the presence of around a hundred craftsmen inviting you to discover their know-how and products of excellence. Are you a gourmet?

Take advantage of the many markets where locals come to shop and chat. The Ajaccio market, which opens at 07:00, releases the exquisite aroma of canistrelli and Corsican cheese, while the Ile Rousse market, voted the most beautiful in Corsica, is also a temple to the taste buds.

Focus on festival weeks

The Creazione festival in Bastia: a 4-day program spotlighting design, fashion and music. Experience a joyful, festive atmosphere with 47 designers at fashion shows, performances and an open-air concert. Good humor guaranteed in a modern and innovative Corsica!

Music is very important in Corsica, and can be heard in every corner of the island, whether in a church or a bar, it's everywhere. Ask your local tourist office about the many concerts on offer: polyphonic or symphonic concerts, jazz or Latin music festivals...
