Here are our reasons for visiting Corsica in July.
take a trip to Corsica? : why
July is the month when summer vacations begin, and summer means beach! So why not take advantage of Corsica's most beautiful beaches and sample the gentle way of life offered by this paradise island.
Water temperature and weather
Generally speaking, the best weather in Corsica is in July. Temperatures hover around 30° C, making for great swimming at 25° C. The mercury gradually rises and humidity drops. So you can lounge on a deckchair by your hotel pool, take a tanning break on a sandy beach, or set off to explore the island. What's even more pleasant in Corsica at this time of year is that the gentle breeze from the Mediterranean Sea always helps to mitigate the heat. If you're staying in the mountains, you may encounter a few drops of rain.
A full cultural agenda
If Corsica's landscapes, seaside resorts, villages, towns and mountains are of rare beauty, the events organized there are just as breathtaking. They allow you to discover the culture, traditions, craftsmen and producers of the entire region.
- Calvi on the Rocks, the hippest of all events, with live performances by a host of internationally renowned DJs. The festival takes place every year in Calvi, at the Théâtre de Verdure, and consists of 6 evenings of total fun from 8 pm to 2 am.
- A mimoria di u vinu or the wine fair is also held every July in the wine-growing town of Luri. For two days, Corsica's finest winemakers come together to let you taste their tasty red, rosé, white and muscat wines. Local crafts and food products are also on display. Don't miss it!
- The Nuits de la Guitare guitar festival takes place in Patrimonio in July. Jazz, blues, rock, tango and much more are showcased through the unparalleled talent of local and international musicians whose instrument of choice is the guitar.
- La Fête du bois et de la forêt, a fair held in the heart of the Vezzani forest. For 2 days, a small train links the village and the forest, where visitors are introduced to the woodworking trades.
