Discover Corsica's heritage in Ajaccio

Imperial history, natural heritage and ancestral traditions... Your organized trip to Corsica is the perfect opportunity to discover the island's riches. To explore the places that have forged the Corsican soul, we invite you to Ajaccio . Napoleon Bonaparte's birthplace is an open-air museum. Wander through the colorful streets of the old town, skirt the ramparts of the ancient Genoese citadel and head for the town's charming port. Along the way, you'll come across the birthplace of the Bonaparte family and the sumptuous Palais Fesch. Push open the doors of these two buildings, now converted into a museum, and you're in for a real plunge into the island's history. Ajaccio is also an ideal base for visiting some of the most beautiful spots on the island. A few kilometers to the north, you'll find one of Corsica's natural treasures: the Calanques de Piana. While to the south, on the road to Bonifacio, a trip back to the Middle Ages awaits you in the most Corsican of Corsican towns, Sartène.

Lounging on the beaches of Bonifacio

Between enchanting beaches, secret coves and bathing in crystal-clear waters, in Corsica more than anywhere else, the word vacation takes on its full meaning. In the south of the island, facing the coast of Sardinia, experience your Corsica tour package to the rhythm of days in the sand, in the shade of the Bonifacio cliffs. Among the many hidden beaches and coves known only to a privileged few, we recommend the Plage des Trois Pointes. With its caves hidden beneath the cliffs, its small sandbanks and its unreal-shaped rocks, it's the perfect place for a moment of relaxation in total tranquillity.

Enjoy a sensational holiday from Bastia

With its miles of coastline, peaks and forests, Corsica is a magnificent playground for hiking enthusiasts. If you want to combine sport and discovery during your Corsica tour package, we recommend a stay in Bastia. Here, you'll be halfway between two sublime regions where there's no shortage of activities: Cap Corse and Castagniccia. After visiting the island's former Genoese capital, with its citadel, port and narrow streets, head for the Cap Corse peninsula to the north of Bastia. Along the coastal path of the "sentier des douaniers", from Macinaggio to Barcaggio, you'll cross jagged cliffs, Genoese towers and wild moors. During your stay in Haute-Corse, you can also sample the joys of the mountains on a hike in the Castagniccia region. Take the centuries-old chestnut trail from Piedicroce. Beyond the majestic trees typical of the region, waterfalls, forests, medieval ruins and villages of unspoilt charm dot the route.

Treat yourself to a moment of southern pleasure in Porto-Vecchio

If vacation means pleasure, Porto-Vecchio is the place to be. This port town in the east of the island boasts two Michelin-starred restaurants and a large number of gourmet addresses, delicatessens and wine shops. In the two-starred Casadelmar restaurant, you'll find some of Corsica's finest specialties, sublimated by chef Fabio Bragagnolo. On the menu: brocciu ravioli, Corsican langoustines, cochon nustrale with Cervione hazelnuts and rosemary, and many other delicious dishes concocted according to the season and the chef's inspirations. To find these raw products, we invite you to visit the l'Orriu delicatessen. Here you can sample cheeses, charcuterie and other delicacies straight from the producer. Sit out on the terrace adjoining the Cantina di l'Orriu or take these delicious specialties with you for a picnic on the superb Palombaggia beach, on the ramparts of the citadel or in your hotel room.
