Do you love adventure and are you familiar with horses? Come to the Isle of Beauty for horseback riding in the heart of Corsican nature!

Equestrian center : Rides, free riding holidays

Choosing a horse-riding holiday means opting for an experience far removed from the daily grind. The pace of your stay can be adapted to your needs and level. In general, groups are limited to a maximum of 10 riders, and beginners are welcome, as are children aged 10 and over. You'll share 4 to 5 hours of riding a day with family or friends over 4 to 5 days, usually with a rest day in the middle.

You'll sleep in the same place every night, but each outing will be full of surprises! After getting to know your horses, you'll set off to discover the Corsican scrubland and its unforgettable scents for a half or full day. You'll come across flocks of sheep, cross streams inviting you to take a dip, and alternate between picnics and farm inns to recharge your batteries!

Horseback riding... a life experience

Horse-riding in the Corsican mountains is an immense pleasure, and a chance to enjoy the surrounding landscape without (almost) exhausting yourself. It's an enjoyable pastime and sport for adults and children alike.

Children can also take the opportunity to learn how to care for an animal. Indeed, learning how to control and care for an animal much larger than yourself can have a profound effect on your self-confidence and give you a fantastic feeling!

Finally, horseback riding is a great way to get closer to nature. Simply spending time outdoors and enjoying the surrounding scenery will boost your general well-being and act as an excellent stress buster. There's a real sense of exhale and freedom when you're out and about on horseback, a life experience not to be missed.

If you're not yet ready to take off for several days, many of Corsica's riding schools can offer you hourly or daily rides.

Whether on the beach or in the mountains, Corsica offers a wide range of hiking, horse-riding, biking, quad biking, 4x4 driving and other outdoor activities (water sports, climbing, canyoning, via ferrata...) to suit all levels, tastes and desires!

Guided hikes and bivouacs

If you're at the right level, why not treat yourself to an itinerant hike ? Thanks to your mastery of the three gaits, you'll be able to ride through different regions between sea, peaks and desert!

Itineraries between sea and mountains

There are many itineraries to choose from, giving you the chance to appreciate Corsica from the inside, with its diverse landscape: chestnut trees, pine forests, heavenly beaches, torrents, vineyards as far as the eye can see, ancestral sheepfolds and convents. Overnight stays in gites or tents, aperitifs and picnics in the shade of lime trees will provide the perfect opportunity to chat with your guide!

Riding to the summits: heading for the lakes

It's possible to spend a few days in total or partial autonomy in the land of shepherds and flocks in Corsica! Here, you'll have the privilege of not looking at your cell phone, because time stands still. Imagine riding along the shores of a lake, then reaching the summits and returning to your ranch through Larici pine forests to discover your gite. Corsica's lakes will enchant you with their beauty!

Beaches and Haute Corse

In spring and autumn, when the heat is milder, we recommend discovering the Agriate desert on horseback. You'll find plenty of evidence of Corsican history as you trot along the coastal path. This will take you to a little paradise on earth for dinner and overnight: the beach at Saleccia, where you might decide to go for a swim with the horses.

U Paganacciu: a Corsican horse breed worth appreciating

A breed of small domestic horse indigenous to the Mediterranean island, the U Paganacciu was once used as a means of transport, particularly in the mountains of Corsica. Gentle, hardy and docile, many riding centers have been offering horseback rides in the forest for the whole family for several years now. An ecological and enjoyable way to discover Corsica's interior to the rhythm of your hooves.
